performed by Dr Jana Bures-Forsthoefel. Their surgical assistant is Renee Ansley. Surgical Assistant staff for Tallahassee Memorial included Melinda Frizzell RN and Sue Smith RN circulating nurses, with Hema Patel and Leah Corley ST, also assisting.

Dr Bures-Forsthoefel is now one of the most experienced robotic surgeons in the region.  She has performed over 700 davinci robotic procedures.  On August 8, 2007, the team set another first when they performed three robotic surgeries in one day.

The advantages of robotic surgery and anesthesia include a faster recovery from surgery and significantly lower pain levels. Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee is the only hospital in North

Florida within a 2 hour radius that has the highly specialized Robot. Because of its advantages, robotic assisted surgery with the "Davinci Robot" will likely become as commonplace as laparoscopic surgery is today.
