Indications

This section describes the licensed indications of Diprivan (propofol)

Diprivan (propofol) is indicated for:

Induction and maintenance of general anaesthesia

Sedation of ventilated adult patients receiving intensive care

Conscious sedation for surgical and diagnostic procedures

Diprivan (propofol) is indicated for use in the elderly and for children over 1 month old.

Note:
Administration of Diprivan (propofol) by a Diprifusor TCI system is restricted to induction and maintenance of general anaesthesia in adults. It is not recommended for use in ICU sedation or conscious sedation or in children.
